Dorado Games’ Gladiators Online: Death Before Dishonor has launched on Steam and the developers wanted to hit the ground running. So what better way to propel one’s game with upward momentum and some promotional trajectory than with free giveaways?
There are more than 30 codes spread across three different tiers of giveaway goods, ranging from bronze tier items to a special gold tier package that’s worth more than $60 USD.
The game is a gladiatorial management action simulator. Players will attempt to raise a stable of powerful gladiators and win battles in the bloody Colosseum. Players will scout, train and equip their gladiators as they attempt to grow in power and equip the gladiators with the necessary skills to overcome their opponents.
There are four different types of classes in the game, each with their own skill-sets, weapon and armor types, as well as their own abilities. You can see what the game plays like with the trailer below.
The game was recently pushed through the Steam Greenlight process to appear on the Steam store. Whether or not it’s going to be a worthwhile game on Steam is completely up in the air. However, if you want some free goods, Dorado Games is giving away the following items in each tier:
Gladiators Online – Bronze Starter Package (Value 10 EUR+ / 10 USD+ )
- 1 premium gladiator level 3, random class (premium gladiators come fully equipped and pre trained, also players will get a free replacement should he die in combat)
- 10,000 extra silvers (regular in-game currency)
- 500 extra gold (used to buy premium staff & gladiators which will give convenience benefits (see free 2 win), can only be earned in game through the leagues)
- 10 re roll tokens (usually earned in game, cannot be bought normally, used to reroll attributes when levelling up)
Gladiators Online – Silver Starter Package (Value 25 EUR+ / 30 USD+)
- 1 premium gladiator level 5, random class (premium gladiators come fully equipped and pre trained, also players will get a free replacement should he die in combat)
- 1 premium courtesan level 5, restores gladiators morale (faster then the free ones and they stay with you permanently)
- 1 premium healer level 5, restores gladiators health (faster then the free ones and they stay with you permanently)
- 15,000 extra silvers (regular in-game currency)
- 750 extra gold (used to buy premium staff & gladiators which will give convenience benefits (see free 2 win), can only be earned in game through the leagues)
- 20 re roll tokens (usually earned in game, cannot be bought normally, used to reroll attributes when levelling up)
Gladiators Online – Gold Starter Package (Value 50 EUR+ / 60 USD+)
- 1 premium gladiator level 7, random class (premium gladiators come fully equipped and pre trained, also players will get a free replacement should he die in combat)
- 1 premium courtesan level 7, restores gladiators morale (faster then the free ones and they stay with you permanently)
- 1 premium healer level 7, restores gladiators health (faster then the free ones and they stay with you permanently)

As for Gladiators Online, the game itself is available right now over on the Steam store. Details and pre-release information is kind of thin but I doubt it’ll be long before the reviews start filling the page and letting the rest of the Steam audience know whether or not it’s a worthwhile game.
