2 minutes read

For those that wanted to create their very own Warframe and want it to appear in the actual game with full-on acknowledgement from Digital Extremes, will now have that chance. With the new TennoGen tool on Steam, folks can make their very own Warframe that might actually make it into the game.

Recently announced by DE, the devs added a new page on their official site to let fans of Warframe know that the TennoGen tool is now available on Steam. You can read the note they posted.

The latest move by the devs invites player engagement and stirs up a community to be creative with others, while at the same time evolving the game by players, for players. However, for those that are both skilled and familiar with tools like Photoshop and making their very own textures can tag along with those that aren’t familiar to vote or make custom Warframes for the game, as stated below.

In addition to this, folks can also customize a list of weapons and the spaceship that your Warframe flies in, which again, has a high chance of showing up in-game if others like it. As noted above, players will also receive a 30% share each time a player purchases your custom content.

For those that want a quick guide as to how it works, you can either hit up the Warframe subforum, or you can check out the latest video tutorial that Mogamu posted to his YouTube channel.

As of now, this is a PC exclusive tool that will allow you to make your very own weapon skins, Warframes and other types of custom content to your liking, which could make it in-game. And like other custom content in the game, it will probably show up on console versions as well.

Lastly, the DE team will be reviewing submitted work and will add the most popular content by players to the game, which will be on their own schedule. For more details you can either visit their Main site, or their Warframe subforum.
