After being Kickstarted, Greenlit and making it through the Early Access phase on Steam, Dreamatrix has officially launched Wave of Darkness. The game is available right now on the Steam store for $29.99, but for the first week of availability you can get your hands on it for 30% off the normal price for only $20.99.

The game is supposed to be an isometric-style sandbox ARPG. It’s designed to look similar to Diablo and affords players a wide array of quests and locations to visit. The team did make a few quick fixes to the game in patch 1.50 for Wave of Darkness, as noted in the Steam update. However, that doesn’t really address the game’s tutorial and playability issues.

At the moment Wave of Darkness has a mixed rating on Steam and depending on how the devs address some of the complaints will ultimately determine which way the pendulum falls, whether it be negative or positive. According to the press release they will continue to update the game post-launch, stating…
