Clandestine, Co-op Spy Thriller Launches On Steam Gamer

a minute read

A two-player, asymmetrical cooperative espionage spy-thriller set in the post-Cold War era of 1996 puts players in the role of a spy and a hacker helping assist the spy. Players must undergo covert operations working to unravel the mysteries behind a government conspiracy.

Indie outlet Logic Artists recently released the game and they unveiled the official launch trailer in doing so. You can check it out below to get an idea of what the gameplay is like and how the story plays out.

The main character reminds me a little bit of the protagonist from Traffic Department 2192, a hard-hitting, no-nonsense, fiery red-head with a penchant for violence.

The gameplay is a complete throwback to what the old Splinter Cell titles used to be like. Players can utilize traps and gadgets to help them out in a bind and apply covert tactics to overcome the odds.

Jonas Wæver, the creative director at Logic Artists commented in the press release about the game, saying…

The game’s cooperative experience is two-fold, where one player will do all the physical stuff in the role of Katya, and another player will take on the role of Martin, the hacker. The game features 17 main mission levels, as well as challenge maps and randomized side-missions designed to be replayable and give gamers and reason to stick around and keep playing the game. There are weapon loadouts available before each mission, as well as melee and stealth takedowns and a wall-hugging feature to keep out of sight.

You can pick up a digital copy of Clandestine right now from Steam for 40% off on the first week for only $19.99. Regularly the game costs $24.99. For more info feel free to visit the official website.
