Fresh off the release of their second critically acclaimed title Inside, Playdead has confirmed that work has begun on the team’s next title, and shared a teaser image to give fans a sense of what they are planning.

As can be seen above, the tweet thanks fans for the positive reception Inside received, and reveals that the studio is already making progress on an unnamed project, in what looks to be another 2D sidescroller with a mysterious atmosphere surrounding it. Unlike Limbo and Inside, Playdead’s third game will be made without one of the studio’s 2 co-founders, Dino Patti, who left the company shortly after the launch of Inside.

For more on Playdead’s next title, which may not arrive until as late as the summer of 2022 if Inside’s development period is any indication, keep it here on Hardcore Gamer.
