Hyrule Warriors Trailer For Wii U Spotlights Lana Gamer

a minute read

A brand new character has been introduced to universe named Lana. She’s a spell-witch with a devastating catalog of attacks that come from her magical book.

The trailer is short and sweet and follows in the same theme as Nintendo’s previously released trailer for , which focused on the various sword and special attacks that Link could unleash on the dumb-as-a-doorknob mob.

Lana definitely fits into the stereotypical Japanese magical archetype that you’re keen to see in many of their role-playing games and animes. Over on the Reddit thread about the trailer, a few people noted their distaste for all things “too cutesy”. These must be some burly, hardened, stone-cold killer mofos.

The gameplay looks pretty smooth. I was especially impressed with her attack that included building up a series of magical blocks and then hopping around and blasting down the bad guys while ricocheting from one block to the other. Looking good Tecmo Koei, looking good.

will be releasing exclusively for the Wii U this September. The game will be the kickstart to Nintendo’s lead-in of fall titles that will roll out for their console throughout the holiday season.
