Modders Kopalov and Henny Smafter have created a rather interesting mod called “The Savehouse Mod”. This mod enables users to buy and sell property from around the Los Santos area and call it your own. It also allows you to rent apartments and stay at hotels as makeshift safe houses.
The mod works in two parts, where players are able to buy the property in the location that they want but then pay separately for what the interior looks like, so you can have your place look like one thing on the outside but something completely different on the inside.

The mod is very intuitive. You can do more than just buy your own property… you can also sell the property as well. This is initiated by visiting a real estate office and choosing whether to buy or sell property. You can also take a look inside to see what the houses look like before making a decision.

The real estate option is setup very similar to how it was in GTA: San Andreas. This is actually a really cool feature because it adds a whole new layer of depth to the game by giving gamers a more emergent feeling of interactivity. You can buy houses where you see fit, create an interior and save your game.
The only thing missing is a garage to store the cars, but otherwise this mod is really spiffy. Additionally, players can also rent hotel rooms as a supplementary way to restore health and save the game, something that was also present in GTA: San Andreas but seemed to be missing from GTA IV and GTA V.
The mod is pretty cool but it does suffer from some glitches and a few gamers have noted that they do have issues with the mod crashing at times or sometimes they would enter a house as a safe house but exit in a different location. The problems with the mod are mostly isolated cases, so you’ll still have to use it at your own risk.
