Bethesda Softworks announced that with just under two days to go, the pre-loading for Fallout 4 has been made active for PC gamers that use Steam.
Blues was tipped off about the news, so anyone who pre-ordered the game looking to get in some game time without having to worry about being stuck in bandwidth traffic on the day of the game’s release on November 10th, can do so once the game becomes active.
The hype for Fallout 4 has become insane. The sales have even been projected to hit the millions according to early predictions on Fallout 4 Guide.
At the moment Zenimax and Bethesda have their lawyers working overtime, as they earn enough money to put their great grand kids through college while taking down more YouTube videos of leaked Fallout 4 footage than Sony going after YouTube videos containing Michael Jackson music.
Of course, there’s always someone who manages to have their video slip through cracks, like YouTuber Flysimox, who uploaded 11 minutes of gameplay footage showing travel from one end of the map to the other. You can check it out below.
The lawyers must have been napping when that one went live. There’s also a backup of the video above in case it gets hit with a copyright strike. Of course, make sure you get in the view time before it gets pulled down because they’ll be on that video faster than a straight white male getting dog-piled by Social Justice Warriors for debunking the wage gap on Twitter.
I have to say that graphically the transitions between day to night, the lighting and the bleak post-apocalyptic atmosphere shine through really well, even in a poorly compressed YouTube video running at a resolution so low that even the hardware-retardant Xbox One’s 720p looks crisp by comparison.
One thing that gets answered in the video that I’ve been wondering about for a while is: can you enter the houses? Well, yes… you can. Many of the houses that are passed by in the 11 minute journey either have open doors or ways to enter what’s most likely a mutant scavenger’s abode.
