Fallout 4 EULA Prohibits Paid Mods; New Gameplay Videos Surface Gamer

a minute read

Fallout 4 is nearing release. The game is due to drop on November 10th but tons of information seem to be spilling out just a week before the game’s official release. One of the big things that surfaced recently is that Fallout 4 will not feature paid mods.

TechRaptor managed to spot the EULA that was leaked on NeoGaf. You can take a look below.

The important bits are highlighted under the EULA in section (c), which states…

Given that this comes from NeoGaf, I don’t know exactly how trustworthy it is, but if it’s solid then this means that you won’t be seeing any paid mod machinations initiated by the powers that be to make a quick buck on the modding community the way they did with Skyrim and its paid mods.

Of course, some of you probably just don’t give a rat’s behind about all the legalese behind the mods, gameplay and utilitarian aspects of Fallout 4. Some of you probably just came to bathe your eyes in the glorious pre-release gameplay footage of Bethesda Softworks’ highly anticipated title. So without further ado, you can check out some gameplay clips below that were hosted in a Pastebin by user totallynotreal from vidme, courtesy of Gamerant.

[Update: The videos have been removed but there’s an alternate upload of the leaked gameplay available right here]

As it’s been repeatedly stated before, you can look to get your hands on the open-world, action-RPG from Bethesda starting November 10th for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The mods for Fallout 4 will be cross-platform compatible and the means for sharing mods on home consoles will get underway in early 2016. Don’t expect any nude mods like Quiet or Hyperdimension Neptunia to make an appearance on Microsoft or Sony’s consoles.
