The Streets Of Rage franchise is an all-time classic on the Sega Genesis. The game series is still extremely fun to this day and it’s a real wonder why the game doesn’t have more clones. Well, the developers of 90’s Arcade Racer, Pelikan13, is developing a game made in the same vein as the 16-bit classic and it’s called The TakeOver.
The game features 3D images and artwork that are ripped and used as raster effects in a traditional eight-direction beat-’em-up environment. Players will take on the role of one (or two) of the four playable characters in either single-player or cooperative fighting action. There are plans to include seven stages and two game modes that include arcade and survival mode.
