Veiled Alliances Brings Space Opera To Mobile Devices Gamer

2 minutes read

Veiled Alliances is a mobile app created by Bushi-go, Inc. Before we go any further I want to point out that the Veiled Alliances app isn’t really a game, it is a cinematic story based on the Seven Suns story by Kevin J. Anderson. Veiled Alliances is a series of short film movies that plays “Appisodes” on your mobile device.

The original Saga of Seven Suns is a space opera series of books that was first published in 2002. Veiled Alliances expands on that created universe by delving into the back story to further flush out the story and bring the universe to life. The developers have broken the story down into mini episodes, which they call “Appisodes” which you can download and watch straight from your phone or tablet.

Each of the Appisode short films will be between 6 to 10 minutes in length to tell that chapter of the story. A great thing about this app is that it seems to be compatible with several different versions of iOS and Android, so it should work and be compatible with older mobile devices (at least it did for my Android phone).

Still trying to figure out what it is? Well think of the Veiled Alliance Appisodes as literal graphic novels that move and talk, its like Kindle books that evolved into 3D images and dialogue.

The entire series is fully animated using the Unreal Engine, with unique 3D environments and character models, and as a bonus every scene in the series is also complete with voice acting dialogue for every character in the story to really help bring the story to life. Another added bonus is that the developers plan on adding new features to allow you to interact with the story by adjusting and rotating the camera to view each scene in different angles so that you can really explore the environment and interact with the world.

Bushi-go brings you the first Appisode for free to download so that you can see what its all about, while future stories will be available for purchase as they are released to help finish the story. I provided a trailer down below that you can watch to see part of the mobile app story for yourself.

Veiled Alliances is currently exclusively available for mobile devices. You can download the mobile app from the iOS iTunes store, Android Google Play store, as well as the Microsoft Windows App store for the Windows Phone.
