No Man’s Developers Break Silence, Detail New Update

a minute read

The much maligned No Man’s Sky is receiving its first update since the game launch back in August after it’s developers released a blog post detailing the update, the first time anyone from Hello Games has communicated with the audience since going dark in September.

The Foundation Update, as it’s called by Hello Games, aims to, “[put] in place a foundation for things to come,” in term of what the developer sees as the future for No Man’s Sky

As for the fact that the developer hasn’t talked to their fans in any substantial way since around the games release Hello Games said, “The discussion around No Man’s Sky since release has been intense and dramatic. We have been quiet, but we are listening and focusing on improving the game that our team loves and feels so passionately about. Positive or negative feedback, you have been heard and that will truly help to make this a better game for everyone. This update will be the first small step in a longer journey. We hope you can join us.”

What this means for No Man’s Sky and its procedurally generated future is all very unclear, but hopefully it’s the right step forward in terms of listening to their audience from Hello Games.
